Introduction

Entrek Engineering, a young and fast growing engineering and design consulting firm in the energy industry, is seeking a Jr. Piping Designer.  We are looking for a driven candidate who is passionate about contributing to innovative and sustainable solutions in the energy sector. At Entrek, our designers have a wealth of knowledge and leadership not experienced elsewhere – they are often the driving force behind projects, and as such are a highly valued role. We believe that there are many senior designers by title, but very few by skillset, and we are excited to find someone who is keen to grow into this role. Role Overview and Responsibilities

• The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and innovative energy projects, ranging from small well sites and pipelines to large processing facilities and concept designs. 

• The candidate will be a part of a dynamic environment where your technical skills and creative problem-solving abilities will drive project success.  

• The candidate will work directly under senior designers and engineers, fulfilling a variety of tasks including but not limited to P&ID creation, plot plans, 3D modeling, isometrics. 

• Opportunity for Site and shop visits to see designs into fabrication and operation. 

• This position has a large potential for growth – at Entrek we feel that great designers need to have a wealth of knowledge outside of just drawing creation and as such, we encourage individuals to ask questions and take ownership of their work.

Qualifications

•  Diploma in a 2 year EDDT (or equivalent) drafting and design program 

• Proficient in AutoCAD, CADWorx and Navisworks 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
